6080137063_3e6c91ee8b_o[1]The Federal Government has really had problems during the last five years.  I will try to outline some of these.  America has become a different country than the one I grew up in.

Congress has failed to pass a budget for the past five years.  Congress been unable to pass a budget, and the Administration has not been able to use any influence to move the process forward.  Even when one political party controlled the House of Representatives, the Senate and the White House, they could not pass a budget.  This just isn’t a failure on the part of Congress, it is a failure on the President.  Obama doesn’t have the skills to get the various factions to come together and get this budget passed.  This stops the government from setting priorities on what is important and what isn’t.

The Government debt has exploded.  As we continue to borrow from foreign interests, we have gotten to the point where the foreign governments that own our debt have control over what we do.  China and Japan are in a position to bring our country to a halt if they demand payment on the debts or stop buying new debt.  Yet, some of those in Congress and the Administration demand we continue to spend at these outrageous levels.

Almost half the adults in this country pay no income tax.  The other half pays a tax not just to support the government, but to support the other half who don’t contribute.  This half who pay all the bills are close to the breaking point.  They feel the government doesn’t represent them anymore.

Past Administrations always stepped away from their parties while governing.  These Administrations represented all the people.  Sure, they campaigned for candidates from their party, raised money for their parties, but governed for all Americans.  Today, the people don’t believe the Administration cares at all about those who didn’t support him in his election bid.

The Constitution has been gutted by the Obama folks.  The First Amendment states the government shall pass no law establishing a state religion, or prohibit the free exercise thereof, freedom of speech, and the press.  The people have the right to assemble and to petition the government to redress grievances.  The Second Amendment states the people have the right to bear and keep arms.  The Forth Amendment states the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall be issued, but upon probable cause.  The Tenth Amendment states the powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.  The current Administration has violated all of these.

The Federal Government has regulated business so heavily, they practically run corporate America.  The free enterprise experiment has disappeared.

The breakdown of society has created a lack of responsibility in society.  The family or lack of family values has created a situation where the “village” now raises the next generation.  This breakdown comes from the top.  The attitude that everything an individual does is the fault of society, and no responsibility placed on the individual, then the breakdown will continue.

All of the above falls on the government.  The lack of leadership, the lack of individual responsibility, the gutting of the Constitution, all show a government that has failed the people.  I can only hope that it isn’t too late to correct.
